From the first press conference in late March 2008, when NAMOC announced Synthetic Times to the public, over one hundred national and international media reported on the exhibition, many of which published in-depth reportage covering the installation of the exhibition through to its closing. Enthusiastic attendance was recorded with average daily visits numbering among the thousands with weekend attendance amounting to 5,000–6000 people. Nearly all major Chinese cultural news media along with popular media covered the exhibition and its impact.
