SYNTHETIC TIMES: the Impact
Artforum's Chinese edition noted that Synthetic Times was the most comprehensive international show staged in China since 1985 when NAMOC hosted a large scale Robert Rauschenberg exhibition which influenced an entire generation of Chinese artists and directly led to the first radical departure of the Chinese contemporary art culminating in the "85 New Wave" movement.
